Laurie Little is a Chicago based digital artist, colorist, filmmaker, photographer, and founder of the film production company, Luminist Films. 

She has worked as a digital retoucher and color specialist for over 20 years and has worked at Color Image Inc for over 17 years. She works on ads for agencies such as, Leo Burnett, DDB Needham, and Bagby Co., and on campaigns for Philip Morris Company on Marlboro, and on Kohler, Mcdonalds, Sony, AT&T, and ABC Channel 7 ads. 

Little has been producing and directing documentaries, short narratives and music videos, as well as working as a camera operator, production designer, and colorist. Laurie co-directed her first feature film, A Day On The Force: Women’s Professional Tackle Football, in 2004. Her featurette, Lonewolf, premiered in Chicago in November of 2002. Her award winning co-productions, with writer/director Mary Novak, Taco Mary, Cut Out and Highlights have screened internationally at over 30 film festivals. Little is currently in post on three documentaries.

She holds an MFA in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago
where she teaches documentary and media classes as an adjunct instructor. Little also teaches the graduate class, Still Image Workshop, at DePaul University, (in the department of Computing and Digital Media of the School of Design.)
