Laurie Little is a Chicago based digital artist, colorist, filmmaker, photographer, and founder of the film production company, Luminist Films. 

She has worked as a digital retoucher and color specialist for over 20 years and has worked at Color Image Inc for over 10 years. She works on ads for agencies such as, Leo Burnett, DDB Needham, and Bagby Co., and on campaigns for Marlborough, Kohler, Sony, AT&T, and ABC Channel 7. 

Little has been producing and directing documentaries, short narratives and music videos, as well as working on documentaries and independent films as a camera operator, production designer, and colorist. Laurie co-directed her first feature film, A Day On The Force: Women’s Professional Tackle Football, in 2004. Her featurette, Lonewolf, premiered in Chicago in November of 2002. Her award winning co-production, the short film Highlights has screened internationally at over 13 film festivals. Taco Mary, co-produced and designed with writer/director Mary Novak is on the festival circuit and has won several awards. Little is currently in post on two documentaries.

She holds an MFA in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago
and teaches documentary classes at Columbia College Chicago.
